Utility Garden
Cookies
This page explains the cookies used on utilitygarden.click. For how we handle other personal data, read the privacy notice.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a site. Some cookies are needed for the page to remember a choice you just made. Others help us understand whether the journal is being read. You can accept or reject optional cookies in the banner; rejecting does not block studies pages, forms, or the journal.
Types we use
Essential. The banner’s own memory of your choice is stored as utilitygarden_cookie_consent in localStorage (not a third-party cookie). It remembers Accept or Reject so the banner does not return on every page load.
Analytics (optional). If you accept, we may set a first-party analytics cookie to count visits to pages such as studies and journal articles. If you reject, that cookie is not set. The site continues to work.
Cookie table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| utilitygarden_cookie_consent | Stores whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies | Until you clear site data | Utility Garden (first party, localStorage) |
| ug_journal_ref | Optional count of journal page views after Accept | 6 months | Utility Garden (first party) |
How to change your mind
Clear site data for utilitygarden.click in your browser, then reload. The banner will appear again. You can also use your browser’s cookie controls to block or delete cookies for this host.
Third-party cookies
This site does not load advertising networks. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts; Google may receive your IP address as a consequence of that request. We do not place marketing pixels.
If you disable cookies
Essential localStorage may be unavailable in private modes with storage blocked; the banner may reappear. Optional analytics simply will not run. Forms, contact details, and study pages remain usable.
